Distorted through the glass
The image once faded against the years
Pieces of the puzzle have been lost 
But the picture is no longer incomplete

I never understood what it meant
Until the image spoke to me
A voice I had ignored for so long
Nearly destroyed by my own hand

The child comes out of hiding
Now that the danger is past
It still hurts to look at the scars
But the healing has finally begun

Day by day - no longer in hiding
A new dawn shines - give me strengh to fight
A heart beats strong - pieces together again
Soul awake - the child will live

Broken heart nevermore to be forsaken 
The tears of a child greet a soul awakened

Dance into the light when the shadows flee
As the child begins to laugh 
Heart once broken starts beating

Stare down the night - chase the darkness away
The anger fades - the pain washed away

Celebrate the light as the new dawn breaks
The child is alive - the soul is awake
