Awakening

Tears fall as a light begins to shine
The shadows flee from the corner where the child has been hiding
For so long only darkness knew this place
Now the tears flow freely as the child ventures out into the light

A heart broken long ago hidden in fear now begins to beat again
As the child's tears spill over the pieces
Once seperated by the years of pain and anger
Now brought together again in a flood of emotion

Eyes once blinded begin to blink as they stare into the light
No longer trapped inside the emptiness
The sound of a child's laughter
Greets a soul awakened

Broken heart nevermore to be forsaken
As the child begins to cry let the soul awaken

Dance into the light when the shadows flee
As the child begins to laugh a heart once broken starts beating
